Transcript LYD Class 7

Genoa : “Hey, everybody. That was a very exciting first part of our class, and it was quite amazing to me that people lined up to address a lot of what I’ll be bringing up in class today. So that was really surprising and very exciting to me, and really quite extraordinary to have the chance to hear everybody’s voices, as always.

Let me just jump in to say that as soon as we come to Type Determination, this is really the major shifting point in our class, which is we move from looking at the bodygraph as an archetypal whole, where we had the opportunity to dive into each of the nine Centers and to develop a felt sense for each one of them, what they’re like, what they’re doing, what their point of view is, and perhaps even most especially how they see themselves.

That’s very important and it’s very relevant to Type Determination. Because as soon as we do Type Determination, we also are smack dab in the middle of Strategy, and what Strategy is, and what’s important about Strategy. Strategy is what you do, how you relate to the very fact that in Human Design we’re saying you have a very specific way of operating.

And that way of operating can be seen through the bodygraph, but it also needs to be discovered in your inner life, in your felt sense. Particularly of what your Authority is and how it works. So the first phase of Strategy is to go inward and to investigate yourself. And to discover not just the intellectual picture of, say, what a spleen is or what a G Center is, but to be able to develop that feeling inside.

Because the second part of Strategy is to know how to go to your Authority, particularly in situations that you find stressful or challenging. Something that might remind you of one of those people that may have come charging into one of these open Centers when you were a child or when you were in school, or when you having a conversation with a priest or some member of your community that had great Authority and they’re coming into this in, through these open Centers.

As part of your homework for last week was to, hey, when you’re writing about these Centers, in this case for a Mental Projector, those that are below the Throat, then certain people are going to appear within your wild mind writing. It’s inevitable. But what happens when somebody who reminds you of that person appears in your life again?

Their energetics are somewhat similar. The most important thing is that to go to your Authority, either inner Authority or outer Authority, however it is that you operate, and to be familiar enough with yourself to know what that feels like inside, and to go there. That is, perhaps, on a practical level, the most important thing that Strategy does.

Obviously, that bit about, investigating how you operate to go beyond the short sentences that say, you’re a Projector, you need to do X, Y, or Z. What is it really like for you? That’s the big question. What does it feel like inside? How do you go to that particular safe space inside of you where you have that intrinsic power?

Now, I did want to say I want to invite Mental Projectors to write me a little essay about what it is that truly works for you. As we were saying earlier, we really need new language to talk about Mental Projectors in particular. We also really need new language in how we speak about the Reflectors.

But what works for you, how it works for you, is very important. And if you have something, not an essay on everything, what it means to be a Mental Projector, but something that really works and has worked for you, and you have some examples about it, I would really love to hear from you.

It’s actually quite important. And you can send that to office@humandesigncollege.com.

No obligation. It’s just if you have something that you would really like to share, please do. We’ve gone quite a bit into Mental Projectors, and it was also quite exciting to hear from you today as well. I also wanted to make a little announcement that I will be doing a special class for Reflectors.

I will announce when that class will be and if you can possibly make it. I think that would be a very exciting time that we’ll have with each other. This slide here gives you a little indication of the power and how complex a Reflector Design is, and the impact that it can have, which is really quite extraordinary.

Obviously, people were stepping forward today who are G Center Projected Authorities. I must have said something that was meaningful to you, or we reached out, because wow, you were right on time coming forward in this way. And here we have the chart of Steven Spielberg, which we looked at last time. He is one of, or he actually stands alone in some ways, as the most influential Movie Director of all time.

Obviously, the G Center has something to say in terms of what this Design is all about. There is one very specific thing about the G Center Projected Authority. It has a voice defined between the G Center and the Throat. It means that it speaks with Authority; that channel from the G Center, embodying and projecting outward the nature of what a Higher Self role is, has great power. What is a Higher Self role? A Higher Self role is quite simply how you succeed in the world, and this is what this particular Divisional Chart represents. Through its voice, it speaks, not just in what it says, but in its tone, its quality of voice.

When it speaks, the Authority is pointing the way towards how people succeed in this world. Now this is the truth behind every Authority. Every Authority is referring to these higher Self roles. And how you use that Authority to live out those Higher Self roles in your own way, through your Solar Plexus Authority, or your Sacral Authority, or your Splenic Authority or Ego Authority.

They all point in the same direction. So when this G Center Projected Authority speaks, it is representing those specific roles that the whole of the bodygraph is aiming toward. This is something of extraordinary depth and importance, but it’s always a Projector Design. And even though we’re dividing things into Divisional Charts where we get to see and to say things that get more and more specific about your Design. For example, you have this Alpha channel, or you have the Awakening channel, or you have the Listening channel, that we heard from today.

It still needs to be in reaction to or in connection to the perceived invitation. The big quality of being a Projector is you’re very quick, and you arrive very early. You’re on the scene. You see it. You can feel it. You see the whole thing. Systems Analyst, Pattern Recognition. Not just in this little thing that you might see, but in the whole situation.

And the Strategy, of course, is to extend that period of observation so that you can see much more of that situation, which you will, if you allow yourself to take that extra time. It isn’t as though you have to wait. It’s just that if you extend that observation time, you see so much more. You seee whether the person’s ready or you see when they’re likely to be ready. You see the whole developmental process, whether they want help, or even if they invite you, or they ask for help, do they actually want what it is that you have to offer? All of those things are so important for the Projector in general, and for the G Center Projected Authority, in particular.

It’s so important because if the voice that you have lands in the right place and at the right time, this is the speaking of a very deep Authority that can literally change people’s lives. Or if you listen at the right time, or you’re the example of yourself at the right time, that you demonstrate what it means to live within your own awakening.

To realize what it is that you have to offer, which is a lot, and this is a crucial step for all Projectors to just take that time to realize, just by being yourself, you are already offering so much to other people.

So the whole business of invitation is: appreciation, recognition, invitation. And it goes in that order, to be present in such a way, to hold what it is that you have to give within you in such a way, that it becomes so clear. That’s why it’s called a Projector. You project what it is that you hold within you. And in this case, it’s about speaking, or it’s about being present to listen, or just be the awakened one, who’s just there and aware of what it is that’s happening, and simply offering yourself to that situation. and being able to extend yourself to it, and then seeing the time to speak or to offer yourself in a certain way or not.

You may have life saving guidance to give to another person. You know that you could be saving their very life. But if they don’t want it, you really can’t give it. Or, you can take the risk of giving it anyway. Certainly. Who said that you shouldn’t make mistakes and who said that you should never annoy other people?

Sometimes it’s absolutely necessary — to save their life. What a responsibility this is. And then I want to offer this, I showed this diagram to you a while ago, and we can just look at the voices of the Throat that Steven Spielberg has. We can start out with: I lead. You can see it right here, Gate 31: I lead. Gate 33: I remember. And then there’s these little subcategories or sub-keynotes that come along with these voices. I lead, I have Authority, or I am powerless. It’s a continuum from powerlessness to Authority, according to the moment of the invitation. The ability to recognize not only yourself, but the other person, or not only to recognize the other person, but to recognize yourself within the moment that you take that Authority.

Spielberg also has: I remember. Certainly, I’ve had this experience here. You can see it right here. Experience/ inexperience. I’ve had these experiences. The voice 33 of the channel of the listener. I have listened. I have taken you in. This relates to experiences I’ve had. Things that I used to be inexperienced about which I reach out to you because I can offer you this experience. And then the Voice 45: I have. This is just a quick foray into how precise these Human Design keynotes can be. And this is such a productive way to take this up. At the same time, nobody’s stopping anyone here from getting your own copy of Ra Uru Hu’s book: The Complete Rave IChing, and begin to look up your gates and to read about them.

But we want to do this detailed work in the context of your Type, your Strategy, and your Divisional Chart. This is the voice of the G Center, right. 33: I remember. 31: I lead. I can: Certain? uncertain. And then here we have 45 : I have, dominion or subservience. That’s the voice that comes up from the Ego, or I act, caution/ abandon, which he also has. And I feel, encourage/discourage. Now these are voices that come up from the Solar Plexus. And if you look at his chart here, that the Solar Plexus is completely open. This means that it is unlimited. that it has tremendous scope, that it can take in almost anything or anyone.

But then look at, he’s the person who expresses all of that comes into this open Center. Oh, and a completely open Ego Center. No activations on it at all. But there’s the voice that expresses what all of those open Centers might be going through. It’s so fascinating to begin seeing these charts like this, and in fact, Steven Spielberg has four completely open Centers.

He has seven undefined Centers, and four of them are completely open. This is astounding.

This scope, this receptivity, what he can take in from other people. No wonder he’s made more movies than any other Director who’s ever lived. This potential is extraordinary. But then, of course, it puts all of this emphasis on the undefined Centers that do have activations on them, because this is where he connects energy to other people.

So if we go to our G Center Authority Projectors: Melissa. Tiana, Piraye, Muriel, and Cheendana. All of them have this commonality of these voices that go to the Throat, and the responsibilities that go along with that, the delicacy of timing that’s involved. We can see that some of these charts, and in fact a majority of them, have Mental definition: either Ajna or Head & Ajna definitions.

And of course, the mental system comes down to the Throat from above, and certainly has a lot to say, because in a Design that has Inner Authority, the Mental definition is an Outer Authority. It speaks as an outer Authority. But that’s entirely different, and it doesn’t change the fact that the G Center is the Inner Authority whose voice has such potent potential for guidance and impact on other people. This is a general principle: Wherever there is an Inner Authority Center defined, the mental definition doesn’t ever change that. The only divisional chart where that is this huge issue is the Mental Projector where that Mental capacity that you have is something of extraordinary value to other people. It doesn’t mean that it’s not of extraordinary value to you as well. Of course it is. And that is what you hold in you as a Projector for others. When they learn to look to you for it, and they turn to you for it, and all the delicacy of Strategy, and all Projector Designs, to be present, to know how much you have to offer, that’s the first start section.

The first half of Strategy is to go inward and to discover what it is that you do have inside and how valuable it is to you and to other people. And the second half of the Strategy is to then bring that inner truth to other people and to discover how you do that. Please refer back to my Throat Center Brief and everything that came up about Strategy when we began to talk about the Throat — timing, and tact, and building rapport, and learning that you build rapport and lose rapport in every conversation. It’s like breathing : building rapport and then every time you lead or say something as a leader, you lose rapport. And then the great art of delicately losing rapport and then regaining rapport. This is the trial and error process of bringing your truth out into the world to connect with other people as a diverse and unique person, and then to establish this rapport and a working relationship with the other, to eventually come to a productive collaboration with other people, and to build relationships with them. And this is where you actually understand, if you will, what an open Center is, what an undefined Center is.

It’s the portal through which other people reach you, but it’s also the portal through which you reach other people, where your Authority reaches them as they come in through that openness, to establish that dynamic rapport building connection with them, through which collaboration can occur, and through that collaboration, which your Authority can establish in that open Center.

And we know that in this particular Design, the G Center Projected Authority that the Ego Center has to be open. And there it is, right next to the G Center, with that little channel, with the big and important name, Initiation, between them, that the G Center is the Center of the Initiator to uplift the other.

And that goes for all of these Centers below the Throat and below the G Center that have to be open. But keep in mind that this is where you establish that collaboration, and through that collaboration, you get to live out your life’s mission.

Otherwise, said quite simply, you have your Authority, and your Authority makes it possible to live out your life’s mission, which occurs in the real world outside of yourself. So this particular way of looking and understanding Authority is the other half of the Human Design system. We so often speak about openness or undefined Centers only in terms of the problems they can cause us.

Because we’re caught unsuspecting, as perhaps we were caught unsuspecting as children. Where, if we think back to this person, Steven Spielberg, with four completely open Centers and seven undefined Centers, four of them are completely open, with unlimited scope for impact as child. As people charge in through that openness yes, we can talk about all the conditioning that can happen, how overwhelming that can be.

But we can also talk about the capacity of the Authority to make decisions. About what comes in through openness as empowered people and the empowering synergy that can happen between your Authority and other people for collaboration, for reaching a higher synthesis, for living out your life’s mission.

So often in Human Design discussions, we spend so much time talking about the problems, our problems, other people’s problems, how we supposedly can know how other people are going to be conditioned, that we forget to think about empowerment, that the reason for Human Design is your personal empowerment, that the G Center knows.

When the right time to speak and to give your Authority to other people through your voice. Yes, you may have the channel of the listener. Oh, and to hear about the power that other people have discovered in that channel of the listener. Oh my goodness. Oh my goodness. But, still! You might need to ask a question, and oh, how powerful, how extraordinarily powerful that question is that comes out through that listening channel and is asked by Gate 33.

Yes, you’ve been talking to me about this, but, I remember the voice, I remember when you told me about this other relationship that you had that went really well, and I’m wondering what the difference is, what was, what worked for you in that relationship, because they’re talking about success, aren’t we?

Empowerment. This is our topic. Synergetic empowerment means, amongst many other things, you are a unique person. The other person is a unique person. What do entirely unique people have in common? Just within their uniqueness, they have nothing in common. They’re unique, but the very fact that you can communicate as unique people, which means you need to speak to somebody to know who and what they are, you can’t guess what their motivations are.

Around the water cooler, at work, it’s so easy to speak about what we know to be somebody else’s motivation. But actually, we don’t really know. And looking at your charts here in front of me, and all of these Centers below the Throat that in some people can be Authority Centers, and therefore have tremendous power and Authority in a way, or can pretend that they’re Authority Centers. And all those overwhelming experiences you could have had as children. We can guess. We can make some kind of guess as to what that might have been like and what those people would be like, but there is really no way that I can know what your life has been like. To find that out, I have to find out from you. And this is where we come back to the channel of the listener. And when we look at these open Centers, we realize that we have Authority in our Design, and that Authority is an Authority over ourselves, and it’s an Authority over our decisions that we make through that Authority. In other words, to make a functional decision for ourselves. At that point, we can stop talking about conditioning.

Oh, conditioning is a very interesting topic, of course. But, it’s not the same topic as talking about making effective decisions.”

Lasita : “I want you to call upon Piraya and Cheendana to say something before we move on.”

Genoa:”Yes, thank you for reminding me. Piraye, would you like to say something?”

Piraye: “Hi, everyone. It’s really interesting. As usual, to listen to you. I’m a G Authority and my channel is The Alpha. And while I was listening to you, I just realized something that all the decisions in my life actually are around just one line. What, where we will go now, where to go. It’s really interesting.

I just realized whenever I make a decision, it’s about which way to go, shall we do this? Shall we go this way? Shall we go that way? So it’s all about leading. That’s really interesting. I just found out. And actually, this is what I do as a profession. I lead people. I do coaching. And as a G Center Authority, I don’t know what shall I say? Shall I say how my Authority works? How I feel that it works? Yes. Yeah. Okay. When I learned about my Authority in Human Design, it was really shocking. I hadn’t realized that I was talking in order to make a decision.

But when I started watching myself I realized that I was talking to people to make a decision. And then as time went by… now I’m very clear about how my Authority works. And it’s really funny and I wonder if my other friends feel the same in their body, but I feel like there’s this whirling in my G Center place. Whenever there’s a decision to make, I feel this whirling, as if there’s a hole and something is whirling there. And I talk, I start to talk, I start to talk. And if I reach a decision, then something like a door closes. and no more whirling anymore. Then I know and I say okay, I know, but sometimes it takes two, three talks with various kinds of people till that whirling ends.

And I, I always say that there’s this song, there’s a hole in my soul. I think that’s the G Authority person because whenever I cannot reach to a decision, I feel like there’s a hole in my soul. And I’m looking for people to talk to— to close, close that door. And, but I know the feeling very well. It has become easier and easier for me to make a decision, and as I said the decision is always around which way to go.”

Genoa:” Thank you very much. Thank you. And Cheendana, did you want to say something? Thank you, Piraye. It was very clear.”

Cheendana: “I did some writing this morning about the G Center, but it’s going to take some time, and I feel that you’ve covered it so well maybe I could just do a brief connection with my two channels that go from the G Center to the Throat, because there’s, it’s a very interesting Design that I’m interested in.

I, consciously and unconsciously, I have this connection to the Throat, and on a very body level it comes to living from my chest, and living from my heart, and it feels like a very spiritual compass:To stay in my Center and to always be in communication with myself around bringing my Higher Self forward —

in my communications in a way that is empowering, in a way that does potentially give direction.

And I’m a very quiet person until I’m asked to speak. And as I am so quiet with this channel of the prodigal, the Design of the Witness, I am busy listening, and I am retreating inside of myself so that I can assess all the information and synthesize all of the energy that I feel like I’m absorbing.

Being through the openness below my G Center. And it’s a matter of safety for me about where I feel safe to speak my inner truth. And in the world of talk, there’s a lot of energy to talk in the world, which is wonderful. Human beings communicating. I find there’s a real lack of listening sometimes, and that people talk over each other, and there’s all this speed and sometimes it’s, I could say it’s very lonely, because there’s so much I want to say, but there’s no space for me to insert, and and the request isn’t there, so it’s about being patient and really listening, gathering information, synthesizing, until that perfect moment to deliver my message or to empower with my voice.

I teach yoga and it’s such an empowering place for me to be because everybody’s quiet and they’re listening to me give guidance… I’m just guiding awareness, in the room, in their bodies, and I’m watching the energy in the room to know what to say. It’s a very in the moment type of communication that happens for me.

So it’s a beautiful thing. I love the G Center, whether you have it defined or undefined. It is our Center and our spiritual Center. The magnetic monopole is there. We all have a G Center and mine just happens to have connection to the Throat, so it’s really fun to express my voice. Thank you.”

Genoa: “Thanks, Cheendana. And I just can’t help but imagine, and of course, I’m not a G Center Projector, I wonder about situations where you so feel like you need to say something, but it’s very clear that the person probably wouldn’t listen, which is another way of saying the invitation isn’t there, and whether you regret, like when you look back in time, this could just be my thing whether you regret not having piped up anyway, even if it were to make trouble, or whether, whatever the feelings are around that, when you see things that are so important, and yet maybe you weren’t able to say anything?”

Cheendana: “Oh, there have been many times that I’ve wanted to say something… 14 years, I just have a bigger commitment to honoring my energy. It takes a lot of energy to speak if there’s no open space to say it. So I do a lot of journaling and I will, if there’s something so urgent that I have to say it, I will write it to that person.

Sometimes I think the written word can be absorbed more than the spoken word in those urgent moments. But for the most part, I’ve just gotten so good with not saying a lot, even though it feels so good to say it. So it’s just the discernment practice of who really respects and honors the sacredness of communication, because that’s what we’re doing. I think it’s a sacred flow of energy when we speak and listen to each other. So yeah, I have, I’ve grown less and less resentful for having. If I can’t, if the space isn’t there, I’m not going to hurt myself and throw myself Into the boiling pot of everyone talking over each other. It’s not my favorite game.”

Genoa: “I hear you. I hear you. I do notice that people have their hands up, but I’m also concerned that we have other things that we need to get to. Do you I, Muriel, do you have something just quick that you could say?

Muriel:”Yeah. Okay. Maybe very quick. I wanted to answer your question, I have innocence in motivation, so I really don’t care at all, if I never have regrets if I see and I hear, and I know so much and I, if I don’t tell people, I really don’t care because I think I have the luck that I have innocence motivation that helps me. Is that clear what I’m saying?”

Genoa: “ Yeah, you’re just confirming that I actually am on the cusp between guilt and innocence in my particular Design, but that’s a little outside of our topic of of Design. But nevertheless, it’s very informative for you to bring it up. So thank you.

Tiana, do you have something quick that you could share with us? Oh no, I, you said something about earlier about not looking at Human Design from a place of where you’re being deconditioned and from a place of empowerment, and I don’t know exactly what you said, but it just, deserves a hand clap, so I just put that in.”

Genoa: “yes. Okay, let’s move on then because we’re running out of time, unfortunately. So we’re going to move here to Splenic Authority Projected Authority. We can say this two ways, we have a Splenic Authority Projector, but it’s also the more old fashioned way in Human Design to say Splenic Projected Authority, which I personally like, because it comes, it brings up the fact that, yes, it’s a Projector Design, and Projector Designs are called Projectors for a very real reason, because it projects outward what it is that you have to offer to other people. Any other people notice that, or they don’t.

And that is such a liberating thing, because you really can’t offer something to somebody who doesn’t notice you. And of course there are many aspects of Projector Strategy that can assist other people to know you, and in fact it brings up the fact that I’ll be putting up a written piece about Projectors. The Projector Type and the Strategy of the Projector Type, where I’ve ventured into the topic pretty deeply, so I really encourage you to read that, and also would appreciate whatever feedback you might like to write about that to office@ humandesigncollege.com.

The Spleen, a couple of people spoke about the Spleen so eloquently this morning. I’m very excited to hear it. In terms of how rapid it is, all of the thousands of calculations it makes per second, how quick it is, perhaps the most important point to make, and I think you know, other people made this point, so I’ll just reiterate it, that it is the Spleen that accepts the invitation. It isn’t your mind. So often, when we hear about these strategies of waiting to respond, as an example, we may feel, because of our training, or because of our background, whatever, that we’re going to be aware of that response in our mind. It’s the sacral Center that responds. It’s the Spleen, in this case, that accepts the invitation. And so much of what happens in a Human Design chart is actually super sensible, or it’s happening on a level of consciousness that is below the level of consciousness where the intellect, the figuring out part of us, lives. Oh, I just have to figure out what to do. Of course, we’ve been raised that way.

We have been led to think that way — that the mind is very important. What would we do without it? We certainly wouldn’t be able to communicate very much. because it’s this outer Authority through which we can link up and we can share with each other. But at the same time, when we’re talking about the Spleen making a decision, that is not intellectual at all.

First of all, it is so much faster than the mind. By the time the mind even thinks, “oh, I should pay attention,” half the time it’s too late, because it’s so fast. The accepting the invitation or rejecting that invitation —that happens in the Spleen. That all happens below the surface of what we call normal consciousness.

It’s by understanding through Human Design, and leave it to Ra to think of such a thing, that we all have this very particular way of functioning, of operating, is what he called it. We operate in certain ways.

And then to ask yourself what does that mean? It means in this case that the Spleen is lightening fast. It’s aware of thousands of levels of invitation instantaneously. It’s comparing it to a database of millions of years of instinctual learning. A lot of what happens in the Spleen has actually already worked itself into the genetic code, that’s why it’s so fast.

“Yeah, I’ve seen this before. A hundred million times. Of course I know how this is going to turn out,” but then the Spleen is also equally capable of being so extraordinarily surprising, to do things that are just off the map. How did it know that?

So Carl, I’m wondering if you might want to say a little bit of something about this Spleen of yours, because I’ve been hearing you talk about these things for a long time. Do you want to say something, Carl?”

Carl: Yeah, it’s actually auspicious that this topic’s up because actually it happened last night in full technicolor. It was an extraordinary event. I heard the sound coming up the stairs and it was, “oh, oh” and the Spleen was right on alert, I went to the door, My husband had blood all down his face, and he was panicking, and so I just immediately took him into the bathroom, and I knew exactly what to do, but the moment I looked at it, there was this other part of me was going, “I am not dealing with this.” My head said that: “I’m out of here. This is too much blood. I’m gonna go” No, I was just focused. I was unemotional. I was very clear on taking care of him. And then, I offered him some colloidal silver. He put it on there with a rag. And I knew we had to get him to the hospital quick. I couldn’t take him, which normally I could, but there was a time constraint.

So I ran to the neighbors next door. My neighbor said, “absolutely.” So he got him in the car and he took off and went. I knew he wasn’t going to die, but it was a pretty bad cut. But what I realized afterward is that the Spleen had orchestrated all of that quickly, safely, took care of me because I also have a medical condition that is time restrictive and if I would have gone, I would have missed my window and it could have been really bad.

So there was the spleen going, “you’re not going.” And I’m going, “oh, of course I’m going.” My head’s going. “Why didn’t you go?” I know why I didn’t go, but all of that happened not by me thinking. It was just moment to moment watching the decisions being made, and that’s just one example. It’s doing it a lot.

It took a long time to get the training wheels on, though. I can tell you that, because my head will very much go against what I’m feeling in the body, what my body is moving backwards, or it’s having a funny face, or whatever it is but then the head will jump in because of the definition I have, and it can override it.

But it’s becoming more and more trustworthy, and I’m catching it more and more, and it really does keep me healthy. I should be dead without it because of what I’ve been through in my life. And yet I continue to improve my health as I continue to listen to this health-giving place. That is instant. It is so fast, I don’t know that I’m even doing it sometimes.

I’m watching it and not going against it. That’s all. Just don’t go against it. Just trust it, no matter what. In regards to the times of saying something when it may not be the right time, Oh yes, the Spleen will do that. If it’s something really critical, I will jump in and I can make an enemy so fast, but later the person may come back and say, “wow, that was so important that you said that.”

When I was saying it, I knew that something’s wrong here. “Oops, I just went over the boundary,” but the Spleen was doing it. It’s going to say it; it’s going to go through my mouth, and I try to put the words back in. No, it’s coming out. That’s, that, I can see that aspect sometimes, and my mind does not understand how to correct that, because it’s not to be corrected, it’s just doing it.

And I get to laugh at it and go, “oh boy, that was messy, let’s see how this all works out.” And most of the time it works out good, or I may have to give an apology; there can be other things involved in cleaning up the mess, if it’s necessary, but not always.”

Genoa: “ I love the way you describe that. Yeah, the Spleen is going to accept the invitation and, your mind is freaking out. “Don’t say that!” It says it anyway. And, yeah, we cannot control the Authority. The Authority’s in charge. This is the most important point. In fact, this is the point that needs to be the takeaway from today’s class. And your chart gives us such an extraordinary setup here, Carl. Here’s the Splenic Authority down here. It’s really simple. This is number one. This is number one. When you look at a chart, it has its priorities. Things go in order. And this is the Authority. It comes first. It’s just what it is. And, as we were just talking about, it’s the Spleen that accepts the invitation.

Whether your mind thinks that it’s accepting the invitation or not. And this part of your Design, and this is a very important thing to be aware of, in your case, and it happens in other ways as well, that this part, is connected to the Throat, and it thinks it’s in church, and it can go “blah, blah, blah,” and, you can get recognized for this brilliant mind of yours, you can get recognized for how organized you are, all of those things and even invited for being so organized.

The Spleen’s in the background going “Yeah, but do you know how precise my judgment is? How razor sharp I can be? Really, is that what you’ve invited?” Because it’s down there below the Throat, and it’s quiet. It doesn’t necessarily have this constant access to blah blah blah, that the mind has. You so accurately, portrayed this kind of Debate, or this argument that two parts of self can have, and yes, we could approach this from the point of view that says I must be missing something. I have these two different parts of self. I’m sorry, that’s not really the way it works. As long as you understand, in all cases, what the Authority of the Design is.

And this is where your homework comes in, to keep going back in depth to this Spleen, to go back in depth to the brief of the Spleen that you got through our campus, and read it, read the points and don’t mince words, take the time to really delve into this, to develop that felt sense.

Because you can’t intellectually know that “my Authority is the Spleen,” but the Spleen knows it’s the Authority. Join your Authority, surrender to it, let it lead, and then, the mind does so much better when it gets to follow. The mind is really bad at leading, but boy, is it great at understanding things after the fact. In this Design, the Spleen has already made the decision, on a chemistry level; it’s already ancient history. Literally, in nanoseconds, it says, “I decided that.” What was that, a thousand years ago? It was only a second, but it’s already made the decision. It already comes first.

And so here’s the most important takeaway: the Authority, and this is particularly true of Inner Authorities, And our language in Human Design is very attuned to these Inner Authorities… It takes precedence, always. You might as well go there and surrender as quickly as you can, particularly with Splenic Authority. You just go there, you put it first, and you watch. And then this Mental definition, which is so organized and so on and so forth, gets to cooperate and to follow, and it does such a good job of that. “Go there, practice it, Develop the inner felt sense of what it is and how it works, deeper and deeper.” Because, just as in the example that you’re talking about, Carl, you go to the door, and there’s blood, right? And you just went there, right? That’s what it’s about. And let it exercise the intelligence of the Authority.

And with that, let’s wrap it up. Your homework for this week is to really go back to situations where you felt, feel like you did put your Authority first. Something worked for you. Now remember, we talked about situations when there were very dominant or overbearing people who you may have had in your childhood, that’s part of what we went through in our homework last week, to recognize who those people are and what their energetics were about, what it felt like to be encountering that, especially when you’re so small as a child. But this week, we need to be in the Authority when things start reminding us of those childhood experiences, or where people are challenging us in ways that can be fulfilling the word: challenge, to remember in those moments to go to the Authority. Write about when you feel like you did do that. And what happened, and what was it about, and what decisions did you see the Authority making? Or, times, when you did that, or you didn’t really do that, and then what happened? Being able to tell the difference between those things, again, is part of the process of pursuing your Strategy.

What was the difference there? What did I do right here? What went well? Where did the Authority take command of the situation? Or a situation where, boy, did it need to take command of the situation, but it didn’t. All right, we need to wrap it up because we’re going over time, but we’re talking about the priorities within Design.

What comes first, what comes second, what comes third, and so on. And so we go in those steps, and please pursue these things in some depth. I encourage you to do multiple Wild Mind Writing sessions of 10 minutes each. And to remember that when you write for 10 minutes, You can read what you write in two to three minutes, which really helps other people in the class to feel there’s enough room for them to also speak.

And does somebody have a question here?

Marita: “I have a question, Genoa. There’s a time change, I think, on Sunday in America. How would that affect us in Germany? Because we don’t have a time change here right now.”

Lasita :”Why don’t you go to timeanddate.com and put in the time of the class for next Wednesday, and it will tell you definitively. I don’t want to guess right now.”

Marita: “Okay, good. And yes, New Mexico changes time too, yeah? Because I think some States do not.”

Genoa: “Yes, that’s correct. Okay, cool. Thank you. Yeah, we always just stick with clock time and then go to timeanddate.com to see where that falls in your area. Okay. Okay. All right. Thank you so much, everybody.

And hey, we’ll see each other again next week. All right. Bye bye. Bye for now.”
