Transcript LYD Class 5

Genoa:  “That was a pretty amazing experience for me to be listening to all of you. It was so creative and so insightful and very deep. And it reminds me that in 2004 Ra asked us to do Human Design radio or Jovian Archive Radio as it was called in those days. And that got Lasita and I working extremely hard and producing hundreds of radio shows for both Jovian Archive and Human Design America.

But the thing I wanted to mention is that Ra listened to every program.  I felt like this above all of the things set him apart as a teacher that he just cherished hearing what people’s process was, how were they taking up his teaching and what were they doing with it. And it really set him apart as a teacher.

How many people do you know who is a world teacher like Ra, who take the time to listen to their students rather than just to speak and expect people to listen to them? And it was really quite something. It impressed me so deeply. And so I just wanted to pass that on.

So we’re reaching a very crucial turning point in our course together. So far, we’ve been setting ourselves aside, to a certain degree, and really delving into the bodygraph as its archetypal self, such a significant, almost magical map that can tell us so much. And we’ve taken the time to go into it deeply — to study the essence of the nine Centers, to be able to develop this inner felt sense for what they are. We’ve taken the time to do this.

We’ve been doing this in a way that is oriented around what we feel inside, who we are as people, and to draw upon our own experience and connect what we’re learning about Human Design to our own experience rather than striving to understand it intellectually. And it’s been very intentional on my part to really structure the class in this way, to take that time to really look into the bodygraph and to go through the Centers in a very specific order because they fit together:

Splenic Center, Solar Plexus, Head Center, Ajna, G Center, Root Center, Sacral Center, Ego Center, Throat Center, in that order. And I encourage you to go back to the briefs of each of these Centers to look at those numbered points and to take some of them occasionally, and perhaps often, to take one of those numbered points as a writing prompt and to delve in, to keep what it is that you’ve been learning here fresh within you, and the connection to your experience.

This is what happens in the long run. When you study Human Design. You connect it to your experience, your daily life, your friends, interactions that you have. And as you know more and more you’re standing there washing the dishes or something and all of a sudden you have this tremendous insight about a friend, something about them that you know through the Human Design and it goes in with such depth.

So just to review the Descent of Authorities, because here we started to make the transition from just looking at the Centers as these entities, these intelligences, these seats of consciousness that see the world from their point of view. And then we learn so much about it because we see it from their perspective.

And then we took the step into the Descent of Authorities. And just to run through these one more time, to say that these go in a certain order as they plunge deeper into the bodygraph. And finally come to the point of taking a look at the Solar Plexus that is so oriented around your experience, your experiential learning, that trial and error part of life that has all to do with relationships and our connections to other people.

And then just to review for a moment, as we’re having a fantastic opportunity today to listen to Ajna Center Energy, its perspective on life. It’s not an inner Authority. It’s an Authority certainly that is looking for its place in the world. And it listens to everything that’s happening below the Throat and in particular to the G Center.

That Echo-location is looking to hear certain things, to hear their voice bounce off of the Higher Self roles. And what opportunity might be presenting itself to them, to bring this extraordinary mental capacity that they have and they freely offer to other people — to help other people’s lives work better.

And then we come finally to the Reflector Authority. Now we’re, we’ll come back to the Reflector a little bit later in our class today, but it’s just important to say a few things, which is, take a look at this chart. Just imagine for a moment, if you will, what it is like to have a Design like this that operates in a way that is totally and completely different than the way your chart operates.

Now, of course, that’s what Reflectors need to come to grips with, isn’t it? That’s the first step in their Strategy to really look at how different they are. And of course, we’re all different, we’re all unique, but for them, it’s a very individual thing.

So moving along, let’s just delve into the next phase of our study, which is where it becomes personal to you, very personal to you, and that is Type.

When we break things into Type, we also are introducing ourselves to the issue of Strategy. The Strategy is something that we do as free people to acquaint ourselves with our Type to go deep inside of ourselves to discover our Authority and how it works. Just as we were listening to, not too long ago, really delve in there to move into the interior life of our organism and to see how it works. This is the first action of Strategy.

Oftentimes, we think about, or we hear about Strategy only in terms of its outer manifestation, which is how do we speak and how do we act in the world, which we touched upon quite strongly when we were talking about the Throat Center, that’s where Strategy becomes something outside.

How we bring our inner truth, our own way of being, the mechanics of our own energetics. How do we bring what we feel so deeply about into contact with other people, and how do we do that with tact and timing, and at the same time relate to our ability and the necessity of expressing ourselves, whether other people like it or not, quite honestly?

We need to do that too, and that may mean that we lose rapport with other people temporarily. But what the world needs is people to be truthful, at the same time as knowing how to reestablish rapport that you’ve lost. It’s a process of breathing in and out because we gain rapport and we lose rapport regularly in every conversation that we have. So part of Strategy is also to be able to refine our approach, to understand that it isn’t just a formula of how we should behave.

As soon as you hear yourself saying, “I should” or “I have to,” you’re contradicting the fact that you have your own Authority, that you are the one who decides that you are the one who does it your way, and that you have to learn along the way. This is just a big part of how it works.

So we start out looking at the Earth, down below it says: Constructive Power —The Yin-Yin the Earth. And then we read the word Generator. So important for us to realize that the Generator is the person who connects us to the living process of the Earth as our planet. And then we look above, we see Creative Force, yang-yang, Sky, the Manifestor, and then we realize that these two energetics are diametrically opposed.

Constructive Power that sticks with what it is and is somewhat skeptical of interruptions. “Hey, I’m already connected with the Earth. I’m already alive. I’m already working with development of what I am. And then suddenly there’s this interruptive creative force.”

If we look to the right-hand side, we see the Consolidation, the yin-yang. This is rainfall, precipitation. And this is how the Projector brings together the Manifestor and the Generator. It’s a huge responsibility to take what is established, what is life-supportive and what is introducing something which is undoubtedly going to be interruptive. It’s gonna change the world.

And then we look to the left, and there we see the word Realization. The Yang-Yin fire. The yin-yang is Water. It goes downward. It brings the message from the Sky to the Earth. But the yang yin is Fire, and it takes what was of the Earth and returns it to the Sky. This is the connection of the Types to weather, to the elements, and it’s just an introduction. It looks a lot more complicated. It actually isn’t.

Here we have three questions, and those questions are connected to what we call the four motors. You can see it over here on the left-hand side, the Root, the Sacral, the Solar Plexus, and the Ego Center. Now, motor Centers are Centers that have an energy within them that spills outside of their sphere.

Certainly you all know this about the Root Center. I mean it, it is just so obvious. The degree to which the Root Center can adrenalize our day. Something goes wrong, the Root Center kicks in. There’s a certain amount of adrenaline and anxiety, and that’s spilling out into the rest of our Design, and it’s up to the other Centers to try to bring it under control.

The Sacral Center,  there in the middle, is particularly important and we’ll see why in a few moments.

And then over on the left-hand side, we can look and we see the label there that says the Three Other Motors, the ones that aren’t the Sacral Center… Otherwise: the Root, the Solar Plexus, and the Ego.

That’s an important distinction. And with these three questions, which is something that was brought to us by Lasita Shalev, to simplify the process of understanding why we are the specific Type that we are.

So the three questions are very simple.

Is there definition? No. You’re a Reflector.

Yes. Then is there Sacral definition?

If the answer to that is yes, you’re a Generator. If the answer is no; there’s not Sacral definition, we go to the other three motors. Does another one of the ones to the right here reach the Throat? If the answer is yes, you’re a Manifester. If the answer is no. The other motors doesn’t reach the Throat either. There’s no Sacral definition, no other motor reaches the Throat, but you have definition, you’re a Projector.

Now, all of this has to do with expression. Remember we’re talking about moving energy toward the Throat and moving energy toward expression. Some people are Manifestors. They have one of these other motors to the Throat and nothing constrains them from expressing themselves.

This gives them a certain autonomy that they can operate independently, and of course that gets misunderstood, that they can just willy-nilly do whatever they want to or whatever they happen to be thinking. We’ll get to that in a moment, but it’s just so important that we understand that the Manifestor supposedly can exist outside of the social sphere and needs to learn to inform in order to become part of the social sphere.

The Manifestor acts upon life, whereas the Generator is in the Center of life. But that energy doesn’t necessarily reach the Throat. So the classical Generator is a more social person. In fact, the other three Types beyond the Manifestor are social Types. They’re people who know firsthand that they need other people because it is through their relationship with other people that brings their energy to expression in order.

In other words, they feel a need to be able to talk to other people and to share opinions and to enter into a relationship with them. We’ll go more into the mystery of Manifestors shortly.

So again, we see the four motors down there to the left-hand side, and we see the three other motors to the right and these here in the middle. In fact, we can click one more slide here. We’ll see these things a little bigger once we divide people into their four Types. This division into the four Types is also an energetic division that affects or permeates or forms or shapes the way the auric energy works.

So if we look at the top here, we see a spiral with arrows radiating out from the middle, and then gradually following that spiral outward. So the energy starts inside of the Manifestor and it comes outside and then impacts other people. So it’s something that comes forth from inside that impacts other people.

If we look at the bottom, we see the Generator, and there it says encompassing. We see energy coming into the spiral and gradually working its way around and compressing and becoming more focused, and specifically, of course, focused In the Sacral Center to the right hand side, we see two spirals exchanging energy.

We see the Manifestor spiral radiating out and putting its energy out, and then we see it connected to the red spiral on the left hand side, and it’s taking the energy in and consolidating it. The yellow spiral that connects these two worlds is the world of the Projector. The person who is in a managerial position, who sees the world in terms of energy and the whole situation and wants to find a way to bring that impacting energy together with the encompassing energy and a balanced and courteous way; that’s a big job.

And then on the left hand side, we have the Reflector. And quite honestly, I made this diagram myself and I’ve always found it a little confusing and I think I made it that way on purpose. It’s sampling what’s going on. It’s checking in with the Generator, it’s looking over there to the Projector, is seeing this process of integration going on here.

We see the impacting coming from above and the absorbing going on below, and the Reflector is taking stock of the whole situation and realizing what’s going on and communicating it back to the Manifestor to say this is how you’re met, this is how your impact is going or not. It’s an extremely valuable function for all three other Types.

So we start out with our first question. Is there a definition? No. It’s a Reflector.

This is the Reflector chart of Ammachi, the great Hindu saint, the hugging saint as she’s somtimes known; she will hug up to 6,000 people a day and bring them into contact with this aura. In India, she will hug 40,000 people a day.

Now, I can’t imagine any other Design that could possibly fulfill that particular mission. Again, we’ll come back to the Reflector towards the end.

But let’s go to the simplest representation of a Generator chart. It is focused on the Sacral Center and that Sacral Center is the power to connect. What marks the Generator is the Power to make commitments, to make something that is really solid, truly connected, that embodies the life force and moves the life force forward. That movement forward is what it’s all about. It wants to stick with the commitments that it has because it wants to continue to give them energy so that they will continue to develop, to mature and to bear fruit.

It sees the world as potentially interrupting that it’s not necessarily, doesn’t necessarily look kindly upon the trends of what’s going on. It will take advantage of them, but it’s actually very stubbornly connected to the life force itself, and this is what its responses are all about.

The responses work like a gravitational force. It takes you towards certain things and it pushes you away from other things. That gravitational force, when it’s an affirmative, “Aha” It pulls you toward certain situations. And in that situation, the Sacral Center is willing to extend the sphere of its influence, to incorporate new people into its world, to take them in, to bond with them, and in this bond, to be able to grow and develop in cycles of development, to be able to focus and concentrate, to reach out in that way, to continue to break down the barrier between itself and other people to nurture and care for them. But it retains its power until that moment where it goes “Aha, this is resonant with the life force. This is resonant with the tenderness and the cyclical nature of life itself.” It works through the rhythm of life. And things that interrupt the rhythm of life are inimical to it. It will only say yes, truly say yes — to what it can persist with, and carry all the way through.

So it has the power to retain its power. Specifically, to empower the Magnetic Monopole, not only its own Magnetic Monopole in conjunction with other people, but also to empower the Magnetic Monopole of others to move forward. And perhaps most important of all, the Sacral Center and the Generator person has the power to mutate and to change.

And therefore, even though the Generator will tend to stick with what it has, we need to take a look at what that means. The Sacral Center brings new kinds of human beings into the world with every generation, millions of them, and every one of them is unique. Every one of them is creative. Every one of them is the exception to the rule. Every one of them has their own precious life, and this is the deepest connection and the deepest commitment that the Sacral Center and the Generator has.

Now we’re talking about the Generator as though they are the Sacral Center. If you read about the Sacral Center and all of its priorities and way it works and how it handles energy. Yes. The Sacral Generator Authority is the Sacral Center. You can’t speak about the Sacral Center without talking about its Strategy to support life, to connect to bond or not.

“Aha We’ll go ahead with this. I’ll incorporate you into my priority system.” “Ugh, Ugh, You don’t get in. The contract is canceled due to a lack of interest.” The Sacral Center can turn on and it can turn off, and there are no halfway measures Now, it’s really important to realize that there are really two different kinds of Generators, and that is not the Manifesting Generator and the Classical Generator.

There are people who are Manifesting Generators, who have a Sacral Authority. And there are Manifesting Generators that have a Solar Plexus Authority.

The Solar Plexus Authority Generator is very different than the Sacral Authority Generator because the Solar Plexus is the Authority. It takes up with a relationship. Remember, the Solar Plexus is all about how we evolve and we develop within relationships. Are we communicating? Are we developing together? Are we in a conversation? Do we understand each other? How do we deal with that lover’s quarrel, where we say horrible things to each other? How do we make peace? How do we evolve a new society? How do we advance our species beyond its instinctual tendency towards violence? This is the Solar Plexus.

Now, if the Solar Plexus takes up a relationship and it decides that relationship is gonna work. There’s some promise in it; ootherwise, there’s movement and development within that relationship; there’s a possibility of growing within that relationship. This is true also of its relationship with the world in general. Is it growing? Is it developing? Is it going somewhere? Are we making our way through this chronic tendency to be involved in conflict, warfare and cruelty, or are we moving forward as a species?

If this the Solar Plexus says yes, then the Sacral Center will respond to it and make the connection — to make the bond and to hold the bond, and to empower the bond. But as soon as that progress stops and the relationship is no longer developing, then the Solar Plexus begins to reject it. To say, I’m sorry, but the business of evolving is far too important to let it fall by the wayside.

It will try and it will try and it will try. But eventually it will make the decision that this is over. And of course, we have this romantic idea, and sometimes it’s true —that a relationship can be till death to us part, hopefully to be remade again.

Yes, it’s true. Sometimes that happens, but whatever it is, the Solar Plexus makes the decision and then the Sacral Center will accept it and it will break the bond. Now, this is entirely different in the Sacral Generator, the pure Sacral Generator is, “Aha” or “Ugh ugh”:  it’s the response of the Sacral Center itself.

That response is a certain energetic language that carries gravity within it. It magnetizes to the bond, or it pushes the bond away. With the emotionally defined Generator, it’s far more complex. With the Sacral Center, it switches on and it switches off. It connects, it builds the bond, or it switches off and rejects the bond.

The situation with a Solar Plexus is far more complicated, and particularly in this configuration in the Generator. It’s always complicated. It doesn’t matter what Type it occurs in. The Solar Plexus is highly sophisticated. It is our most sophisticated Center, and it’s coming online as an Awareness Center.

And as it comes on, we learn to communicate as the species, and this will transform the history of the world. It bears that responsibility and hopefully with grace and will do so, as it matures.

And then we come down here to the Manifestor. And interestingly, I was just pointing out all this difference between a Generator with Solar Plexus Authority and a Generator without Solar Plexus Authority.

The contrast in terms of Generators and how they function, whether there’s Solar Plexus there or not is extreme, is very, very different.

Interestingly, Manifestors who have splenic Authority, Manifestors who have Solar Plexus Authority and Manifestors who have Ego Authority and so on and so forth, share commonality in a way that is similar to the way Projectors do. There’s Splenic Projectors, there’s Solar Plexus Projectors, there’s G-Center Projectors, there’s Ego Projectors, there’s Mental Projectors.

All of those Projectors share certain really critical, critically important similarities. And the same is true of Manifestors. It’s always been surprising to me. When I was in Kauai, there were lots of Manifestors there, the most remote place on Earth. I think all the Manifestors ran away there. They were there at a much higher percentage than they are in the general population, and I was constantly surprised how they all shared these characteristics.

Now it’s really important to put Strategy in perspective. Every one of the Types has a specific power with Generators. It’s the power to connect or not. Obviously the power is in the connection and making that connection and holding that connection, committing to that connection, evolving and moving with that connection to grow and to develop on an energetic level. And that in a way, is heightened by the Solar Plexus. It just works a little bit different.

So here we have the simple connection, “Aha or Ugh ugh” “can I persist with this? Can I move it forward? Will it propel me towards success? Can I stick with this and persevere with it until completion? Can I bond? Can I care?”  “And when I’m looking at the mutation, the differences in my own progeny or the progeny of others, will I be able to stand up and be powerful and to be charismatic and to defend that individual against all assault from any direction?”

This is the Generator, and this in fact is heightened in some ways. It just isn’t quite as direct, if it’s more attenuated. It’s more about whether it’s developing, whether we’re moving forward, whether we are furthering evolution.

But then when we come to the Manifestor, we realize, ah, all Manifestors have this certain power, but what is that power? It’s certainly not the power to do whatever happens to be passing through your mind at the moment or to do whatever you like or whenever you like. No, the Manifestor is a person who needs a great deal of contemplation. They tap into the world of imagination. It’s like they have an arm that is very long and they reach up into the clouds and grab a hold of a bolt of lightning and bring it down to the world.

Their job is to create something new, something that has never existed before, to craft it, to plan it. It takes years and years for the Manifestor to truly find what it is that they came into the world to do — to give birth, in a certain way, to something entirely new. And by the way, most likely, quite disruptive to the way the world works, already.

It’s the exception. They’re bringing something new.

Human beings don’t really like change very much, For an incredibly adaptive species — this is one of our primary characteristics. We live in every conceivable environment, including the Arctic and jungles and outer space. We have all of these adaptive capabilities that go far beyond any other species that we know of so far and yet we resist change.

So the Manifestor is here to bring something new into the world, to bring in the vision that they have. “This is the way it could go.” And to contemplate that change. The number of years it took for Ra Uru Hu, as an example, to go from receiving the transmission to the time of externalizing the transmission.

The Manifestor needs a place to live. The Manifestor is a guest on planet Earth. Planet Earth is Generator planet. 70% of all people on Earth are Generators. The world belongs to them as they belong to the world.

But the Manifestor is an outsider and must behave as a guest, learn how to behave as a guest, to learn how to be courteous, to learn what world they inhabit, because how would they invent something new to make the world go better if they didn’t know what the world was. And they don’t know what the world is inside of them, not in the same way.

And so this business of informing is really important from the very beginning. If you go over the life stories of Manifestors, so many of them have no place to live.

It takes them a long time to remember that they need to initiate informing. They can’t wait for informing. They need to inform to start with, to make their space in the world of Generators, to inform Generators or to get a little help from their Projector friends who would be able to soften the blow a little bit or to explain the Manifestor.

But these things do not occur to the Manifestor quickly. They don’t. It takes a long time, and so many Manifestors are homeless until they can tell other people, this is who I am. This is what I am. I’m a wild card. You can’t really tell what I’m gonna do next, and I’m not going to bond with you in the way that say Generators might expect.

They need to inform other people from the very beginning, if possible, who they are, what other people can expect from them. What they can provide, what they can do, and what they can’t do. “I can’t bond with you as though I’m a Generator. I can pretend I can bond with you as a Generator so that you’ll gimme some place to live.”

But that’s a very indirect way of getting a place to live. It’s not informing and it causes a gigantic amount of trouble. It is this aspect of the relationship between the Manifestor and the Generator that is so difficult. One is here in the world to bond and to connect and to have the strength of the bond.

In accommodating the strength of one’s Design, this is where Strategy comes in. You need to be able to handle the power that you have and be able to know how to navigate the world with that power.

If the Generator weren’t powerful, then they wouldn’t need to know what they want, what the response is, what that gravity that the response has  — to pull the other person in to bond with them and to make an inviolable bond that they will just defend with their life, and particularly the life of the mutant, the unusual one, the less fortunate, the one who is struggling.

This is the bond of the parent with the child. The mama bear with the baby bear. Don’t come between the bear and her baby, or she will send you to the other side of the choir. That’s a huge force and it needs to know what it wants. So you listen to the response because the response tells you when to bond and when not to bond. It’s all about that power that the Generator has.

And the Strategy of the Manifestor is to inform, to be a good guest, to be courteous, to be kind of all things. To learn how to consider the needs of the other, to realize that they’re a guest. To be able to find some place, someone who says, “oh, you mean it’s gonna be different every day? Oh, you mean I can’t count on you to be what I think you’re gonna be?” That’s a dream come true for a Manifestor. Somebody who is willing to be surprised, shocked. “I had no idea that you were gonna do that.” If you inform them to begin with, people greatly appreciate it.

Oh, it’s so important because otherwise you have no place to live. No place to be. You’re a waif in the world, wandering without food, without shelter, without anything to eat or feel or to be. It all comes from the informing, from the very get-go. And if you can raise a Manifestor to inform, oh, there is no comparison to the life that they will have.

So other motors to the Throat? Yes. Manifestor. Sacral? Generator. Those are the two opposing forces that work it out in this world. But I can tell you, which is more powerful? The Generator .

And the Manifestor is here to be able to change if possible, even in some small way. That 20 years, 30 years, 300 years, 3000 years from the time of their life will change the world. It isn’t something really huge. And here’s the other part of it, Manifestors invent, but they’re not here to run what they invent. They create businesses; they make things happen. They redefine the world. And if you take a look at this guy, this Manifestor chart: the Human Design system, it’ll take us another 300 years at least of wrestling what this is, in order to truly understand what it’s, we’re just at the very beginning of that.

And then we move to the Projector. Any other motors to the Throat? No: Projectors, but there’s definition. Now the Projector has a very special place in all of this. They don’t have the Sacral Center defined and all of that energy and what to do with it — to lug that energy around to find out where it’s supposed to be.

What is it got to do? Who’s it gonna bond with? It doesn’t have any of that, and it doesn’t have that manifesting energy either. It doesn’t have to plan for years, doesn’t need to craft what it is that they’re going to be bringing into the world. They don’t have that particular burden. The Projector person is the person who is not burdened with energy in the same way.

And yet of the thirty-six channels, twenty-two of them are Projector channels. And if you happen to notice, they’re almost all of the truly intense, very intense channels that belong to the Projector Type. This particular channel, the 41/30. This is the Design of Barack Obama. This is the only definition he had.

Just to say, gives you a sense for its power. This is the Channel of Recognition that recognizes the other, that recognizes the fated connection, recognizes that being that for whatever reason you see them in a crowd and you know!— to recognize who other people are in their essence, to see their situation. It is lightning fast.

Even this Solar Plexus, to a degree, can see the complexity of a situation, can see the overall organization within a person’s life, can see so many things that escape other people. And it is so penetrating and so extraordinarily poignant and important.

They see things so fast, that one of the major ways that they have of handling or working with this power is to understand that they get their quicker than other people. They see it so fast and it is so important. They have such a gift to give. And so a huge part of the Projector Strategy in handling this superpower is to learn that “I got here early and other people don’t see this. If I tell them about it right away is going to really be too much.” It can be extremely disruptive. It’s a positive thing, of course, to be able to inform another person to say,” this is what’s going on. You know what? You didn’t see that.”

The answer is “No”, most likely, but you don’t know yet what the other person sees. So, in arriving early and seeing what which is so important, so poignant, you need to hold it inside for a little while, and extend your observation to see whether the person themselves is aware of the difficulty that you saw so quickly.

And actually it might take them years to become aware of it, to become ready to look at it. Because God knows why they’re going through what they’re going through. And that’s what you need to find out. It means finding out an awful lot. Not only are they ready to hear what you have to say, but is it the right time? How does it fit within their process? What will they do with it? Do they even want it? You can’t help people who don’t wanna help themselves. That’s impossible. So there’s a lot, you get the hint of it, but what you see as a systems manager, as a Projector is the overall situation. It’s like pattern recognition. You see the whole situation, but then you need to go below the surface to recognize all that is involved.

So on the day that Ra first introduce Types, I was there, Lasita was there, and this is the channel that he put up on his little overHead Projector in those days,: the recognition of the other. It is no mistake that it’s a Solar Plexus channel. It’s in the background, of course, to every Projector to get in there in the depths to see what the process is, to see where the person is. You have something so precious for them. If they’re ready to hear it. Here’s the one thing about an invitation, it’s a sure sign that the person is ready to hear what you have to say.

And so there we come to the Reflector. And in the Reflector we really need to take a look.

Okay, thank you. We don’t have any Reflectors in our class, which I previously stated is really something quite unfortunate as far as I’m concerned.

I feel really sorry about that. But with the Reflector, let me just say that we need to encounter Openness in a totally different way than we normally think about it. In other words, when we have inner Authority…  let’s just say going back to Ra’s chart he has this inner Authority that is Spleen. And the Spleen is an inner Authority in the sense that it stands in for the person’s personal sense of truth, what is really right. And as they study their Design, they discover that wow, this is really quite uncanny, the degree to which this Spleen stands in for my wisdom from, for something that I need to bring to the world that I have inside, and also this Spleen, in this case, processes all of the challenges that come in through the open Centers, and ultimately, it learns how to bring this wisdom, this insight, this awakening to higher principles and so on, that is so much a part of this man’s life. It discovers how to bring that truth into relationship with other people, as the G Center pulls other people in through the open Centers, to form a relationship with them to bring their truth into relationship with other people and the challenges that they present. This is the process of Learning to Live your Design.

Very plain and simple. The decisions of the Authority Center carry you forward into the world, to bring your truth into relationship with other people, to be able to establish a relationship with them, to find common ground with them, to learn how to work together, how to form a synthesis, a working relationship with each other, and how to collaborate with them.

Now that is what Inner Authority does. It learns to collaborate, and it’s interesting that it’s through something that goes on inside of them through their Channels that they eventually learn to bring into relationship with other people. That’s what Human Design is about.

Now, with the Reflector, we have an entirely different situation. Their Design is completely open and then they have all of these potentials, these colored-in marks coming off of their various Centers, and those potentials are linkups, they’re receptors for other people. So for the Reflector, and we’ll just make this point right now, that relating begins right away. There’s nothing that they need to learn from themselves that makes it possible for them to eventually connect with tremendous power with other people. The interacting starts right away, and the way it begins is through listening, through being able to form a rapport with other people and to bring this aura into relationship with other people because this aura is super-active and super-connected. And it is very powerful in the sense that it acts as a catalyst for change with other people. And that process of change and the power is something that is extraordinarily transformative for other people. So they set something in motion with that other person that triggers and catalyzes their evolution, and then they identify with being able to do that.

We’ll leave it there. And just one more slide to just show you how active this Design is — that these twenty-three definitions are the definitions that the Moon makes every single month switching on Channels and switching them off, switching them on and switching them off. And that that creates an animation to the Reflector aura, which is extremely powerful. Not so much in the details per se, although the details are all very interesting. But energetically, what this brings to the conversation with the other is this cosmic energy that’s coming through them. And we don’t want to get too glorified or exaggerated or make Reflectors into some kind of Saint, but noticing what that aura feels like when you’re in the presence of it. I invite each one of you to do that, not to talk about it, but just to be in the presence of a Reflector and see what it is that you feel and enter into a conversation to see what comes of it. Because what comes of it may be your remembering your primary goals of what you had as a being when you entered life. Many, many of them, perhaps that you’ve forgotten, you may actually remember who you were in that sense, those goals you had as a child. And so with that, let’s wrap it up here and, oh my goodness. There is so much more to say and I’m so looking forward to it. This is just the beginning of the conversation about Type.

I remember when I first came into contact with Human Design, people in my life said to me “it’s actually made you much more tolerant.” Because I could suddenly see how different people were. And this is one of the most extraordinary things about Human Design is this, not only tolerance for other people, but true acceptance of what diversity is.

This is the key to our future as a species. Let’s just leave it there. All right. Until next time. Thanks everybody. Looking forward to it.

Lasita: “ou didn’t tell them what to write about.”

Genoa: “Oh, that’s a very good question. Obviously your Strategy and you can have a conversation with your Strategy very similar to your conversation with your Authority.

Now where we’re going next with our class is Strategy, which is a factor that comes into the world through your Type and your Authority fused together and they become one thing. And we can map this and we will be dividing this group into a baker’s dozen of different Strategy Type and Authority combinations.

And on the basis of that, we will be able to go forward in the last four classes to talk about your charts. That’s what we’re gonna do. So after introducing this next time, we’ll transition to looking at your charts and the structure of your charts and how they work and how they do that within the context of these 13 divisional charts as we call them, because that gives us a great deal more to say than just talking about your Type. 13.. Baker’s Dozen.

And so write about your Strategy, tussle with your Strategy. Talk about your Strategy as an adversary. Talk about how much your Strategy pisses you off or is your greatest ally. Whatever provokes you to get passionate, to be angry, to be frustrated, whatever. Let it out, because just being that way will tell you so much.Be appreciative. People were so appreciative today. It was like so lovely. It just, it was so touching, hearing people, loving their Authority. It was just beautiful.
With that, Till next time…”
