Assignments for Class 7

Please select a situation that went particularly well for you. Do a 10-minute wild mind write on this topic. What do you remember about entering into this interaction, project, or relationship? Why do you feel it went well? Please strive to see the specific actions of your Authority and how you aligned with it?

This is how you can see the unique qualities of your Authority and Strategy in action. These past situations need not be monumentally perfect. These exercises recall certain successful situations for you to notice your Authority and how you cooperated with it through Strategy, as a natural way of your living as yourself and how it made you feel.

You may want to explore several such situations, or write for multiple sessions on the one that stands out in particular. These reviews can be reinforcing and up-lifting. The reasons for your success may not be what you expect, but reviewing their qualities is likely to reveal a lot.

Your Strategy is your personal agency within the process of aligning with your Design. The simple suggestions spoken about the Strategy of Type, from Ra Uru Hu, most often turn out to be very true, but you need to discover these truths in your own way and in your own time and through your own life-review.

Quoted from the Transcript of Class 7:

“Your homework for this week is to really go back to situations where you felt, feel like you did put your Authority first. Something worked for you. Now remember, we talked about situations when there were very dominant or overbearing people who you may have had in your childhood, that’s part of what we went through in our homework last week, to recognize who those people are and what their energetics were about, what it felt like to be encountering that, especially when you’re so small as a child. But this week, we need to be in the Authority when things start reminding us of those childhood experiences, or where people are challenging us in ways that can be fulfilling the word: challenge, to remember in those moments to go to the Authority. Write about when you feel like you did do that. And what happened, and what was it about, and what decisions did you see the Authority making? Or, times, when you did that, or you didn’t really do that, and then what happened? Being able to tell the difference between those things, again, is part of the process of pursuing your Strategy.

What was the difference there? What did I do right here? What went well? Where did the Authority take command of the situation? Or a situation where, boy, did it need to take command of the situation, but it didn’t. All right, we need to wrap it up because we’re going over time, but we’re talking about the priorities within Design.

What comes first, what comes second, what comes third, and so on. And so we go in those steps, and please pursue these things in some depth. I encourage you to do multiple Wild Mind Writing sessions of 10 minutes each. And to remember that when you write for 10 minutes, You can read what you write in two to three minutes, which really helps other people in the class to feel there’s enough room for them to also speak.”
