Your concerns and aspirations have already been transferred to your body for its decision-making power, and your mind is simply a witness. You will greet your parents and family members within their very human condition. At your birth, the people surrounding you may be stable or panicked. Medical professionals may regard your birth as an emergency. Hopefully, someone is present who is skilled in nurturing newborns.

You are already in a deeply vulnerable state, since birth is a life-or-death transition. You are inhabiting a body which you can hardly control. Any of these factors are likely to trigger the Root Center, causing a range of adrenalized reactions.

Regulating Root Pressure is a very grave behavior to learn. All of the Centers, between the Root and the Throat, filter the energy that otherwise would rush directly to the Throat Center for expression. The Sacral, Spleen, and Solar Plexus are directly in the line of fire. The G-Center and the Ego Center form a second line of defense, but the Sacral Center is the most crucial factor through its ability to modulate these Root forces.

The Sacral makes decisions based on the pace and rhythm of the life-force. The Root Center is never an Authority and operates on conflicting impulses of rushing ahead and trying to slow down: “Go, go, go,” and “No, no, stop!” This ‘push-me-and-pull me’ aspect makes the Root extremely challenging.

Ultimately, the Authority of your Design regulates timing, but it calls upon the Sacral life-forces within you and from your surrounding support network, to regulate the Root Pressure in order to create a tempo which is sustainable. The Sacral sets priorities for the Spleen and Solar Plexus through what is called the Defense Circuit. These priorities are based upon the Sacral Center’s self-referencing biological matrix and its demands for kindness, consistent rhythms, and nurturance – all of which emanate from its uncompromising demand for full consent. Being wise enough to listen, you will find its primal voice within and see its power within your friends.

When the Sacral Center’s life-force sets the pace and responds with its power, it can tame the Root’s energy. Like the fabled horse-whisperer, it gentles the Root, like a previously wild creature, and can align with Root power to accomplish important tasks. In other words, the Sacral combines its energy with the Root, to bolster the power of mutation and to promote the lives of unique individuals emerging in present and future generations. As a result, the Root Center comes into the service of the whole organism and the biological future of our species.

Once this level of cooperation is established in how your Design functions as a whole, all nine of your centers function together and assist you to learn and maintain this balance through your Strategy, on a daily basis. From that point on, the forces of the Root Center align with your life-purpose and karmic resolution. Then, your personal Authority can make decisions on a structured and understandable basis. Understanding the energetics of these alignments through an interior felt-sense is how you learn to live your Design.

It’s important to remember that the Root has no strategy of its own. The Root only fuels the evolutionary process throughout the body-graph, but it cannot give it form or guidance. With the Sacral’s alliance in hand, the Root can fuel various avenues of expression and help reveal your true nature – to bring exuberant joy to the process of living. Beyond that, the Root Center is ready to supply almost limitless enthusiasm for your chosen work of self-expression.
